I Just Quit Drinking - A nice Joke

A man walks into a bar in London and ordered 3-glasses of beer
and sits in the backyard of the room, drinking a sip out of each one in
turn.

When he finishes, he comes back to the bar counter and orders 3 more.
The bartender asks him, “You know, beer goes flat after I fill it in the
glass; it would taste better if you buy one at a time.”

The man replies, “Well, you see, I have two brothers. One is in
Dubai, the other in Canada and I’m here in London.

When they left home, we promised that we’ll drink this way to remember
the days when we drank together.

The bartender admits that this is a nice custom and leaves it there.

The man became a regular in the bar, and always drinks the same way.
He order 3-Beers and drinks them in turn.

One day, he came in and ordered only 2-Beers All the other regulars
notice and fall silent.

When he comes back to the bar for the second round, the bartender says,”
I don’t want to intrude on your grief, but I wanted to offer my sincere
condolences on your great loss. ”

The man looked confused for a moment, then he laughs …. “Oh, no,”
he, said, “Everyone’s fine - both my brothers are alive” .

” The only thing is

Post About Nepal Airlines in Engadget….

It was interesting read ( more interesting because the news from nepal being on Engadget ) Read on

Nepal Airlines sacrifices two goats to fix a 757

We’ve definitely done some crazy things to fix our gear — we swear our Sawtooth Power Mac G4 actually ran faster after we dumped a can of Diet Coke into it — but we’ve never gone as Nepal Airlines recently did. Faced with intractable mechanical problems on one of the fleet’s two 757 jets, authorities at the state-run airline apparently sacrificed two goats to the Hindu god Akash Bhairab (pictured in the airline’s logo, to the right) in front of the plane, which promptly took the skies again problem-free. That’s pretty much all the information anyone has, but Nepal Airlines has confirmed that “the snag in the plane has now been fixed and the aircraft has resumed its flights.” We’re not going to comment on anyone’s religious beliefs here, but that had to have been the weirdest pilots’ announcement of all time.

Brilliant Advertising Ideas

Volkswagen Van came up with this brilliant idea to promote its carrying capacity as against many other cars:

Ford Mondeo showcases its pickup speed with this stunner of an advertisement. Great execution.

The copy reads “From 0 to 100 kmph in 8.7 seconds.”Volkswagen comes with yet another winner for its Polo car in this classic advertisement. A little background may be essential to understand this one. The football rivalry between Germany and Holland is as big as that between India-Pak in cricket. This ad, which has the headline “Extremely Well Built.” has a group of german football team supporters travelling in a VW Polo car among a gang of Dutch fans. And the rest is self-explanatory.

One last piece from Volswagen for its Nueva Passat car. Here the emphasis in the luxurious back space available in the car. Again, great art work and execution.

Some more effective anti-smoking advertisements that I came across recently:

Ever wondered how advertising agencies would advertise themselves? McCann Erickson comes up with these really good ones, suggesting the value of their advice to clients. The copy reads “You wont be sorry you listened to us.”

Absolutely hilarious. Just imagine Fidel Castro with the lollipop instead of his characteristic cigar. And advising Jesus Christ on what motif he should be adopting!! (No offense is meant to any religious preferences.)

Ad for Lucozade “energy drink”. Guess on some days we could do with one of these energy drinks.

This is a very catchy ad for a karate school. Looks like they have a very practical approach to learning it

This is a print ad taken out by Rodasol insect killer in the Obituary section of a newspaper. Death to the Bugs

A very simple but hard-hitting advertisement by the Mumbai Traffic Police on the importance of wearing helmet:

One of the best, by Seagram, that asks drivers to choose carefully between two things:

An explosion of colours fantastically brought out by the recent print ads for Sony Bravia television:

Here is a very creative use of bowling alleys to advertise for dental implant insurance.Whoever got this idea and made a sudden leap of imagination was being sooo.. damn creative.

A ”Don’t Drink and Drive” campaign by Vasir breweries on their beer bottle caps. Upon opening the bottle, the car printed on the cap appears bent, and on reverse we have the simple slogan. Very simple but effective.

A Technology site Review - technologygoal.com

I have found a relatively new blog named Technology Goal which has been started since july 2007 . At first glace it took some time to load the website but it was worth the wait time.

Being just launched this site already has 43 technorati authorities and ranks within top 200K sites according to Alexa. I enjoyed every posts from this site. It is all about technology . I am quite happy with the content but i have some suggestions regarding the site layout

1. It is aligned to left ( would be better if it is center aligned )

2. Too many ads ( those may not perform well for a starting blog )

3. Ads by google text links are long so that they are coming out from blog layout.

4. Too many people in blogcatalogue and mybloglog widgets ( the face sizes shall be little bigger )

5. Navigation buttons like “Home” ( which is most important ) is missing.

6. “About Us” page is emptly.

7. Instead of displaying alexa widget in every post it could be placed in sidebar
