Brilliant Advertising Ideas

Volkswagen Van came up with this brilliant idea to promote its carrying capacity as against many other cars:

Ford Mondeo showcases its pickup speed with this stunner of an advertisement. Great execution.

The copy reads â€œFrom 0 to 100 kmph in 8.7 seconds.â€Volkswagen comes with yet another winner for its Polo car in this classic advertisement. A little background may be essential to understand this one. The football rivalry between Germany and Holland is as big as that between India-Pak in cricket. This ad, which has the headline â€œExtremely Well Built.â€ has a group of german football team supporters travelling in a VW Polo car among a gang of Dutch fans. And the rest is self-explanatory.

One last piece from Volswagen for its Nueva Passat car. Here the emphasis in the luxurious back space available in the car. Again, great art work and execution.

Some more effective anti-smoking advertisements that I came across recently:

Ever wondered how advertising agencies would advertise themselves? McCann Erickson comes up with these really good ones, suggesting the value of their advice to clients. The copy reads â€œYou wont be sorry you listened to us.â€

Absolutely hilarious. Just imagine Fidel Castro with the lollipop instead of his characteristic cigar. And advising Jesus Christ on what motif he should be adopting!! (No offense is meant to any religious preferences.)

Ad for Lucozade â€œenergy drinkâ€. Guess on some days we could do with one of these energy drinks.

This is a very catchy ad for a karate school. Looks like they have a very practical approach to learning it

This is a print ad taken out by Rodasol insect killer in the Obituary section of a newspaper. Death to the Bugs

A very simple but hard-hitting advertisement by the Mumbai Traffic Police on the importance of wearing helmet:

One of the best, by Seagram, that asks drivers to choose carefully between two things:

An explosion of colours fantastically brought out by the recent print ads for Sony Bravia television:

Here is a very creative use of bowling alleys to advertise for dental implant insurance.Whoever got this idea and made a sudden leap of imagination was being sooo.. damn creative.

A â€Donâ€™t Drink and Driveâ€ campaign by Vasir breweries on their beer bottle caps. Upon opening the bottle, the car printed on the cap appears bent, and on reverse we have the simple slogan. Very simple but effective.

Good show! I love to see the new ideas and creativity that the big boys are putting into there advertisements. Especially the Volkswagon ads.

Yes, the history of automotive ads and marketing includes quite a few big successes and some losers too like the Chevy Nova - nova in spanish means nogo - and this limited its sales to foreign countries and eventually caused it to be dropped from production.
