The Best of Firefox Extensions
Orkut Scrapper
I am sure there are no twisted eyebrows at the mention and existence of this extension. Simply because Orkut is so popular, someone actually decided to make a firefox extension for it. Orkut Scrapper makes your scrapping a hell-of-a-lot easier compared to the usual “Bad Server, No Donut For You.”
Below are the features that Orkut Scrapper offers:
* Link Access: Orkut Scrapper allows users to visit their friends' (and enemies) scrapbook and album or simply send them a quick email or teaser.
* Shoutbox: Users can communicate to each other off the Orkut servers and onto a public shout box. Although not Google Talk, this is the next best alternative and the great thing about this is that users can choose whether they want a private shoutbox or simply use the public one.
* Font Styles: Not only can users change the color of their fonts when scrapping friends they can also change the size as well. But the best feature is that it allows users to send messages using their favorite font styles, an option I wish Google's blogger gave to users.
* Translation Tools: Supports 10 Indian languages for scrapping. This is a feature desperately needed on Orkut (and very quick.) Although only translating India's main languages, this can be quite useful for those people whose first language is not English or Portuguese.
* Secret Scraping: You can send messages to your friends that they (and only they) will be able to see simply by clicking the reply button with “the golden key.” This is quite handy, especially since Google does not have privacy settings on user's scrapbooks.
* Online Friend/Scrap Alerts: Orkut scrapper notifies you when your friends appear online or when you get a scrap.
There are other interesting features like:
* The ability to set an image as your background
* The ability to view images or flash items (such as Google Video's) within Orkut
* Live preview of your message before scrapping your friend
* Creating a signature for your scrap posts
* Send a “heart message” using the text that you type
* Toolbar with all shortcuts
* Autologin into Orkut.

The image won't help you much, but we all know what we can use this for. Just remember, it hides “bad things.” All you need to do is press Alt + X and safe. So download it here
Morning Coffee
Morning Coffee's basic function is to keep track of your daily routine websites and open them in tabs.
This extension lets you organize websites by day and open them up simultaneously as a part of your daily routine. This is really handy if you read sites that update on a regular schedule (like webcomics, weekly columns, etc.)

Potential future updates include:
Bookmark folder integration
Separating lists by time (so you can have a morning/afternoon list for a day, for example)

UnPlug
UnPlug is an extension, which lets you save video and audio that is embedded on a webpage, so in simple terms, it's a video download tool.
It also scans web pages and tells you where media players are getting their data from and displays it as a simple hyperlink, in most cases, you can then follow the simple download link to save the media file.

UnPlug works for lots of sites including youtube.com, iflim.com, current.tv, myspace.com (video), revver.com, mobuzz.tv, and lots more.
As you see, this extension is a very good addition to your browser. To download it, click here
gSpace
gSpace turns the 2GB of your Gmail account into free online storage. With gspace you can manage unlimited Gmail accounts to store all type of files within its simple, user friendly interface.
You can also listen to your stored music directly from your gspace, view your collections of pictures, and manage your Gdrive files as well.

Also, they have an option to transfer files between your computer and gspace anytime, from everywhere, which is pretty cool.

Fasterfox
I decided to include this in the last part of the trilogy, because I needed one damn good extension to finish the series off.
According to me, Fasterfox is already installed and if not it should be installed on your system. It is “the” best extension for firefox, seriously.
It has a unique pre-fetching mechanism, which recycles idle bandwidth by silently loading and caching all of the links on the page you are browsing. Fasterfox allows you to tweak many network and rendering settings such as simultaneous connections, pipelining, cache, DNS cache, and initial paint delay.

It also has a popup blocker and a blocker for popups initiated by Flash plug-ins.
It also supports various locales such as Chinese, Czech, Dutch, English, Finnish, French, Frisian, German, Hebrew, Hungarian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Lithuanian, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Slovak, Slovenian, Spanish, Swedish, Turkish, and Ukrainian.

IE Tab
This is another great extension that enables the use of the Internet Explorer in Firefox. It's most suitable for web developers, since you can easily see how your webpage is displayed in IE with just one click and then switch back to Firefox.

It's also useful incase you need to download Microsoft updates or visit websites which work only in IE.

Tab Mix Plus
Tab Mix Plus enhances Firefox's tab browsing capabilities. It includes features such as duplicating tabs, controlling tab focus, tab clicking options, undo closed tabs and windows, and much more. It also includes a full-featured session manager with crash recovery that can save and restore combinations of opened tabs and windows.

However, it does conflict with Orkut Scrapper; so it's better to disable one of the two when you use Firefox. Overall a great extension.

A list of supported sites includes:
Youtube, Google Video, iFilm, Metacafe, Dailymotion, Myspace, Angry Alien, tf, Badjojo, Blastro, Blennus, Blip.tv, Bofunk, Bolt, Break.com, Castpost, CollegeHumor, Current TV, Dachix, Danerd, DailySixer.com, DevilDucky, Double Agent, eVideoShare, EVTV1, FindVideos, Free Video Blog, Grinvi, Grouper, Hiphopdeal, Kontraband, Lulu TV, Midis.biz, Music.com, MusicVideoCodes.info, MySpace Video Code, Newgrounds, NothingToxic, PcPlanets, Pixparty, PlsThx, Putfile, Revver, Sharkle, SmitHappens, StreetFire, That Video Site, TotallyCrap, VideoCodes4U, VideoCodesWorld, VideoCodeZone, vidiLife, Vimeo, vSocial, Yikers, ZippyVideos, and any other webpage with embedded objects.

Colorful Tabs
This is a simple yet beautiful extension that just makes your browser more appealing.

It colors every tab in a different color and makes them easy to distinguish while beautifying the overall appearance of the interface. However, it lacks customizable options. Overall, an enjoyable extension.
